Lmn 7.2 testing

beide von Holger gemachten Beobachtungen kann ich bestätigen ohne jetzt was sinnstiftendes zur Lösung beitragen zu können.

Hallo,

nächster Test durchgeführt.
Ich wollte herausbekommen, ob es nach dem format oder dem sync das
Problem gibt.
Also hab ich den in linbo stehenden Client mit

linbo-remote -i 10.16.3.35 -c format,sync:1

beschossen un ddann beobachtet.
ZUr Beobachtung bin ich immer mit linbo-ssh drauf gegangen und jedes mal
wieder raus, um zu schauen, wann ich nicht mehr rein komme.

Der Zeitpunkt war genau nach dem Ende des Syncs. Dann kam ich nicht mehr
rein.

Dann hab ich den Client neugestartet (reset) und dann mit

linbo-remote -i 10.16.3.35 -c start:1

beschossen: dann kommt kurz die Meldung mit „remote controlled“ dann
startet ubuntu.

Der Fehler ist also irgend wo am Ende des Syncs.

ich habe die Doku zu den Patchklassen und dem universellen Postsync-Script angepasst:

Bitte prüft mal, ob das so passt.

Aus meiner Sicht wäre es gut, wenn dieses universelles Postsync-Script ebenfalls unter /srv/linbo/examples bereitgestellt werden würde. Früher gab es die servertools, in denen Vorlagen enthalten waren. Diese gibt es so nicht mehr, daher wäre es einfacher, dieses direkt in den Examples abzulegen.

Der Punkt 4. würde ich einfach entfernen. cryptography steht schon mit Version 39.0.1, und ich sehe es nicht als nötig es zu überprüfen.

linbo-remote hat den neuen Parameter -a:
-a <hostname> Attach the running tmux session for this hostname.
S.a. README.
Da kannst du die Ausgabe live beobachten.

Auf der Linbo-Konsole kannst du die Befehle einzeln eingeben und die Ausgabe beobachten:

linbo_partition_format
linbo_sync 1
linbo_fakestart 1

Der letzte Befehl führt einen „dry run“ Betriebssystemstart aus.

Werde mir das im Laufe des Tages mal anschauen.

also: mit linbo-ssh auf dem Cleint hat alles geklappt: aber über
linbo-remote hängt der Client wieder am Ende, oder nach dem Sync (weiß
ich nciht, konnte ich auch in der tmux Session nicht erkennen).

Ich beobachte Heute NAcht nochmal genauer.

danke fürs debuggen. Ich kann das hier auf dem Testsystem auch nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe ja auch in der Schule schon mehrfach Clients per linbo-remote behandelt. Die sind immer gestartet. Die Kunst ist herauszufinden, was muss genau alles eintreffen, damit das System sich so verhält. :frowning:

BTW, linbo-remote erstellt bei jeder Session Logdateien unter /var/linuxmuster/linbo/log/<client>.linbo-remote. Zumindest ist das bei mir hier so. :shushing_face:

das chown gedöns kommt wohl von diesen beiden Zeilen in meiner postsync
Datei:

 # Besitzverhältnisse für linuxadmin reparieren
 chown -R 1000:1000 /mnt/home/linuxadmin
 chown -R 1001:1001 /mnt/home/linuxuser

die zweite mach ich weg: den linuxuser gibt es nicht mehr.

… aber warum linbo die Rechte von Dateien ändern will von denen es dann
bemerkt, dass es sie nicht gibt? Seltsam.
Das scheint aber auch nicht den Abbruch zu verursachen…

das ist es ja, was ich beobachte: am Ende des syncs kann ich auf dem
cleint per linbo-ssh sein, wenn ich vorher schon drauf war.
Versuche ich aber nach dem „Abbruch“ auf den Client zu kommen, dann
bekomme ich am Server ein permission denied, obwohl es vorher ging.

Ich weiß nciht, wie linbo remote das macht: schiebt es alle drei Befehle bei
linbo-remote -i RECHNER -c format,sync:1,start:1
direkt auf den Client, oder kommen am Ende vom Remote Befehl noch
Befehle vom Server?

Die beiden Meldungen wurden nicht durch „mich“ vom Server aus
verursacht: ich hatte nicht versucht nochmal auf die Kiste zu connecten…

Ich mach jetzt nochmal einen Test.

… nun könnte man dazu neigen, dass es irgend wo an meinem postsync
hängt: aber der wird ja auch ausgeführt, wenn ich die Befehle in einer
linbo-ssh session starte: und da klappte ja alles.
Es ist mysteriös.

noch mal von Anfang:

  1. linbo-remote log weggeschoben:
    /var/log/linuxmuster/linbo/nwt-lap1.linbo-remote zu
    nwt-lap1.linbo-remote-bak

  2. Client gebootet: steht in linbo

  3. linbo-remote -i nwt-lap1 -c format:1,sync:1,start:1
    losgeschickt

  4. Client beobachtet mittels:
    linbo-remote -a nwt-lap1

format OK, sync beginnt… sollte 8 Minuten gehen (ist ein altes Laptop
Bj. 2010)

Am Ende fliege ich aus der tmux Session:

Man beachte: es steht zweimal permission denied am Ende wie beim letzten
mal: ich habe aber nur einmal mit linbo-ssh versucht auf den Client zu
kommen (keinmal beim letzten mal).

Die Befehle werden in einem Skript gesammelt, das unter /var/tmp abgelegt wird. Das Skript wird dann in einer tmux-Session ausgeführt. Sieht so aus, dass die letzten beiden Befehle (start und gui restore) nicht mehr ausgeführt werden, da die ssh-Verbindung dann plötzlich nicht mehr funktioniert. Die Frage ist, was macht der drittletzte Befehl (sync), dass ssh nicht mehr geht.

Eben in der Schule einen BIOS-Client per linbo-remote -c format,sync:1,start:1 problemlos restauriert. Kein publickey-Fehler. :person_gesturing_no:

Nur als Idee: Kann es sein, dass bei Holger was mit dem Postsync nicht richtig läuft? Wenn ich das richtig sehe, wird per <image>.postsync auch die Datei [...]/linuxmuster-client/<image>/common/passwords mit übertragen …
Kann das evtl. damit zusammenhängen, dass der Login plötzlich nicht mehr will? :thinking:
