Konfiguration von linuxmuster-client-shares

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe bereits dieses Ubuntu-Mate Cloop mit linuxmuster Server 6 am Laufen. Jetzt will ich mir eine eigene Ubuntu-Installation für die Clients bauen und bin dabei wie hier beschrieben vorgegangen.

Die Anbindung an LDAP scheint wohl geklappt zu haben (?). Aber wenn ich mich mit einem nicht-lokalen Nutzer einlogge, komme ich immer wieder automatisch zum Login-Bildschirm zurück. Im folgenden die Ausabe in /var/log/syslog

Sieht jemand, was da schief läuft und wie ich da ran gehen muss?

Hi.
Ich sehe zwar spontan auch nicht, was da los ist, doch meine persönliche Meinung ist: Nimm keinen anderen Client als Ubuntu – am besten sogar die bereits fertigen Images, die im Umlauf sind.
Wenn du deinen Client jetzt mit viel Mühe einrichtest, wirst du mit v7 jedenfalls auf die Nase fallen, falls du eines Tages auf v7 umsteigen/upgraden willst – das haben wir am WE in Essen mit LinuxMint 19.2 (Cinnamon) jedenfalls bestätigen können.

Ich wollte aber gerne den MATE Desktop haben, deshalb hat mir ein externer Dienstleister wie gesagt diesen Cloop eingerichtet.

Problem damit ist allerdings, dass wir die Grafikkarten- und Soundkarten-Treiber für unsere Lenovo-Rechner da nicht zum Laufen bekommen haben. Der Vorschlag mit der eigenen Neuinstallation kam schließlich von dem Dienstleister selbst…

PS: Ich nehme ja bei meiner Neuinstallation auch Ubuntu. Halt frisch installiert, damit ich die richtigen Treiber habe. (Das nur, weil Du meintest ich soll „keinen anderen Client als Ubuntu“ nehmen.)

Die Anbindung an LDAP scheint wohl geklappt zu haben (?). Aber wenn ich
mich mit einem nicht-lokalen Nutzer einlogge, komme ich immer wieder
automatisch zum Login-Bildschirm zurück. Im folgenden die Ausabe in
/var/log/syslog

das Verhalten kenne ich, wenn beim Vorlagenbenutzer (ein
nichtdomänennutzer) das Verzeichnis
Home_auf_Server auf dem Client nicht leer ist.

Kontrollier das mal.

Es ist Linux – wieso sollte da ein Unterschied sein, wenn du ein „nicht frisches“ bzw bereits fertiges Image nimmst??

vielen Dank für diesen Hinweis. Das ist wohl tatsächlich die Ursache.
Also das Home_auf_Server von linuxadmin muss leer sein!

In Anknüpfung an meinen anderen Post wollte ich erreichen, dass jeder User z.B. ein $HOME/Home_auf_Server/Documents Verzeichnis hat, das ich dann in $HOME/.config/user-dirs.dirs so definieren kann:
XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/Home_auf_Server/Documents"

Aber dafür muss ich wohl dafür sorgen, dass auch jeder Nutzer diesen Documents-Ordner in seinem Home_auf_Server hat. Würde ich das mit dem postlogin Startskript (/home/samba/progs/linuxmuster-client/custom/postlogin_trusty.sh) erreichen? Oder gibt es eine bessere Lösung?

Das hätte ich eigentlich auch erwartet. Aber mit dem „nicht frischen“ cloop habe ich es bei bestem Willen nicht hinbekommen, den Grafikkarten-Treiber zum Laufen zu kriegen. Nach 12+ Stunden Trial-and-Error hatte ich immer noch Screen-Tearing und konnte immer nur jeweils einen der beiden Ausgänge (VGA oder DP) zur gleichen Zeit verwenden. (Soundkarte ging auch nicht, aber damit habe ich gar nicht erst angefangen.) Mit der Ubuntu-Mate Live-CD hat alles sofort geklappt.
