Blackscreen Linbo

Moin,

haben mal wieder ein Problem mit interaktiven Boards bei uns.
Wenn eines der Boards über PXE bootet, kommt es bis zum “Konfiguriere Hardware”, danach ist der Bildschirm schwarz und er gibt “Kein SIgnal” zurück.
Linbo erreichen sie aber, ich kann das Board über linbo-ssh ansteuern und ins Windows würde es auch durchbooten.
Im Linbo-Log sagt er, dass er /dev/sda nicht einbinden kann, obwohl man über fdisk -l die eingebunden Partitionen sehen kann.

Folgendes habe ich bisher probiert:

  • Den Systemtype (bios,efi,…) in der start.conf durchgewechselt
  • Verschiedene Kernel Options: verschiedene vga= , splash gelöscht, nvidiafb.blacklist=yes

Anbei hänge ich das Linbo-Log und die Ausgabe von lspci und fdisk.
Vielleicht kann ja jemand von euch erkennen, wo das Problem liegt.

Ich sehe da keine nVidea Gafikkarte: nur eine i915 … das sind die die
in Atom Rechnern laufen, meine ich: die waren schon immer furchtbar.

Es wird die Onboard Intel Grafik verwendet?

vor 3 Wochen gab es schonmal das gleiche Problem mit einem INtel der
7ten Generation mit Onboardgrafik.

Ich antworte mir mal selbst. Problem gelöst!
In der /var/linbo/boot/grub/…cfg gibt es die Zeile
set gfxpayload=800x600x16
Auskommentieren, Leer lassen oder andere Auflösungen eintragen hatten
alle nicht funtioniert!
Jetzt habe ich folgendes eingetragen:
set gfxpayload=ist mir doch egal
funktioniert wie es soll.

Muß man das verstehen??

Schreib also mal in die /var/linbo/boot/grub/cop-tafel.cfg
statt:
set gfxpayload=800x600x16
folgendes rein:
set gfxpayload=ist mir doch egal

Danach den Client booten.

Sollte das helfen, so mußt du die Datei
/var/linbo/boot/grub/cop-tafel.cfg
noch so modifizieren, dass sie bei import_workstations nicht verändert wird.
Das geht so:

Sieht jedenfalls so aus, der eingeschobene Rechner ist aber auch ziemlich klein (Abmessungen stehen in meinem vorherigen Post), da dürfte keine Grafikkarte drin sein bzw. reinpassen ^^

Zu deinem Workaround komme ich aber zurzeit gar nicht.
Seit vorletztem Mal funktioniert der PXE-Boot nicht mehr, ich bekomme dauernd die Meldung NBP is too big to fit in free memory base.
Das kenne ich normalerweise davon, wenn man in der start.conf den falschen SystemType eingestellt hat.
Aber egal welche Kombination ich aus BIOS-Einstellungen bezüglich UEFI/Legacy und dem Eintrag in der start.conf probiere, immer kommt diese Meldung.
Außerdem kann Linbo GRUB nicht in den MBR schreiben, da kommt dann beim Image ziehen (wenn ich über screen in den linbo-remote Befehl reingucke, da ich ja am Board kein Bild kriege) immer Fehler.

Also…

Vor lauter Hardwaregruppen und Images habe ich ständig den SystemType in der falschen start.conf. geändert. Kein Wunder, dass der Fehler beim PXE-Boot kam, denn in der richtigen start.conf. ware efi64 eingestellt.
Somit kam ich endlich wieder in’s Linbo.

Den gfxpayload Eintrag habe ich wie oben in der grub.cfg umgeändert, aber leider ohne Erfolg, der Monitor zeigt immer noch “Kein Signal” an und ich komme immer noch nur über linbo-ssh an den Rechner.
Da ich aber jetzt endlich die Festplatte unter Linbo partitionieren und formatieren, sowie Windows zum Laufen bringen konnte, stört mich das jetzt erstmal weiter nicht.
Wichtig ist ja nur, dass ich die Rechner über Linbo verwalten lassen kann und ob man jetzt währenddessen ein Bild hat, ist ja für die Nutzer Wurscht.
