Aber nicht zwingend hinreichend.
Es muss auch sicher gestellt sein, dass die Zeile
managed by linuxmuster.net (Auskommentiert)
in der /srv/linbo/boot/grub/HWK.cfg
nciht verändert wurde: sonst faßt das importscript diese nicht an.
Ich will zum Beispiel nicht, dass der import die Datei verändert, deswegen mach ich da immer ein
NOT managed by linuxmuster.net (Auskommentiert)
draus.
Die append Kernelparameter werden über diese grub.cfg Datei dem linbo am Client mitgeteilt.
Ohne Änderung der Datei kommt da nix an.

Hat vielleicht noch jemand eine Idee warum seit dem Update der Login auf dem WebUI nicht mehr möglich ist? Ich berichtete weiter oben davon. Nach Eingabe der Anmeldedaten hängt sich die Seite auf und kann auch nicht mehr neu geladen werden.
Prozesse? Logs? Datenbankanbindung? Was kann ich prüfen?

ich bin jetzt wieder in der Schule und lege los.
Der Neustart des Servers als einfachste Option habe ich schon am Freitag mehrfach durchgeführt.
Nach dem Neustart wird das WebUI angezeigt, stürzt aber beim Anmeldeversuch ab und bleibt auch offline. Erst ein erneuter Neustart bringt es wieder Online aber leider nicht in Funktion.

Haben leider nix gebracht.
Die DHCP-Zuweisungen und somit IP-Adressen haben sich allerdings geändert. Der Client …32 hat nun die …146 bekommen.
Ich habe dann einen entsprechende Link auf die passende start.conf gemacht.
Nach einem erneuten „linuxmuster-import-devices“ ist der Link aber wieder weg.
Muss ich den Client noch an anderer Stelle eintragen damit der von „linuxmuster-import-devices“ berücksichtigt wird?
Wie gesagt… das WebUI ist nicht verfügbar. Ich muss die entsprechnde Config-Datei von Hand editieren.

Jetzt ist der Link korrekt aber das System startet noch immer das alte Linbo…
Der Satz macht micht stutzig … wie meinst Du das „Ich habe“ genau? Die Verlinkung wie z.B. hier
start.conf-10.30.53.84 -> start.conf.win10
macht der Befehl
linuxmuster-import-devices
automatisch. Da muss man nichts selbst anlegen!
Bist Du sicher, dass der Import sauber durchgelaufen ist? Vielleicht liegt’s ja einfach daran … das würde u.U. auch erklären, dass der Client jetzt eine andere IP hat, denn wenn der Client über die devices.csv
richtig erfasst wurde, erhält er natürlich immer die gleiche, feste IP-Adresse.
Was das WebUI angeht: Man kann den Zustand prüfen:
systemctl status linuxmuster-webui.service
Ebenso kann man dort auch ein restart
verwenden und schauen, ob es danach im Status irgendwelche Fehlermeldungen gibt.

Nachdem ich die devices.csv angepasst hatte und einen erneuten Durchlauf von von „linuxmuster-import-devices“ gemacht hatte wurde der Link automatisch erzeugt.

Ich weiß nicht warum aber inzwischen funktioniert das WebUI wieder.
Ich kann mich sowohl als User wie auch als global-admin anmelden.
Warum auch immer??? Ich habe am Server jetzt nichts verändert…
Hast Du evtl fail2ban
installiert? Damit hatte ich schon mal Spaß dieser Art auf einem anderen System.
Schick doch auch nochmal den Eintrag aus der devices.csv
hinterher, aus dem man den Eintrag für PC12 (mit IP .146) erkennen kann.
Außerdem wäre es gut zu wissen, ob Du Subnetting verwendest und wie ggf die Datei cat /etc/linuxmuster/subnets.csv
aussieht.
Wenn der Client nicht immer dieselbe IP erhält, stimmt vielleicht was nicht in Sachen DHCP. Wir hatten hier zB. schon mal den Fall, dass versehentlich 2 DHCP-Server im gleichen Segment liefen. Dann klappt natürlich PXE-Boot auch nicht, wenn sich der falsche Server vordrängelt…

Da überschneidet sich also was: Du hast einen DHCP-Bereich für die Rechernaufnahme von .100 bis .200 angegeben aber vergibst gleichzeitig eine IP fest
in diesem Bereich. Sollte man nicht machen. Ist ja auch schnell geändert, indem Du PC12 z.B. eine IP unterhalb von .100 gibst und erneut das linuxmuster-import-devices laufen lässt.
Das erklärt aber den anderen Effekt noch nicht. Oder bootet der PC mittlerweile LINBO per PXE vernünftig?

Ja, der hatte ja auch bislang die .32
Die neue IP kam erst heute nach dem Aufruf von „linuxmuster-import-devices“ automatisch und dann habe ich testweise dies IP übernommen.
Mache ich jetzt rückgängig und trage die 32 wieder ein.
Nein, leider nicht. Ich habe bei zwei PCs Linbo per USB-Stick aufgespielt. Das hat geklappt allerdings werden die Images nun nicht mehr gebootet. Neu installiert werden können sie auch nicht. Im WebUI werden alle Systeme (du 5 funktionierenden und die anderen) als offline angezeigt.
Echt nervig…
So, für heute ist Schluss.
Immerhin läuft das WebUI wieder.
Leider kann ich erst am Donnerstag weiter arbeiten.
Ich werde dann versuchen einen Rechner aus der Konfiguration zu löschen und sozusagen als komplett neues Gerät wieder aufzunehmen. Vielleicht bringt das ja etwas.
Meine beiden Testrechner, auf denen ich das neue Linbo per Stick installiert habe, werden nun in der Console des WebUI als „Online“ (das grüne „Linbo“-Symbol) angezeigt.
Jeder Versuch sie neu zu installieren per:
/usr/sbin/linbo-remote -i 172.16.1.29 -c format:1,format:2,sync:1,sync:2
Scheitert jedoch mit der Fehlermeldung:
Skipping 172.16.1.29, not a pxe host!
Der Rechner ist aber auf PXE-boot im Bios eingestellt und auch entsprechend in der devices.csv hinterlegt (Linbo-PXE ist ausgewählt).

Also wenn ein Client, der das neue LINBO per USB-Stick gebootet hat, wirklich online ist, muss er sich ja auch vom Server aus anpingen lassen oder auch ein linbo-ssh 172.16.1.29
möglich sein. Wenn das nicht geht, bleibt wieder nur der Weg über das lokale Terminal am Client → dmesg

Übrigens: Die IP-Adressen, die Du bei Deinem Setup verwendest, entsprechen nicht dem Standard-Setup. Warum bist Du davon abgewichen? Bist Du sicher, dass der Server die Route zu den Clients kennt? Deine Firewall (OPNSense, nehme ich an?!) läuft ja scheinbar unter

– welche IP hat der v7-Server?
Vielleicht solltest Du auch darüber nachdenken, in der devices.csv
nur Kleinbuchstaben für die Clients zu verwenden. Im Parallelthread hat mich @arnaud gerade darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass Großbuchstaben für Hostnames unüblich sind (ob das aber auch zu diesen Fehlern führen kann, weiß ich nicht – ist aber sicher einen Versuch wert).

Wie gesagt, die 7.0 lief mit diesen IPs, Hostnamen und mit dieser Netzwerkhardware knapp 4 Jahre problemlos.
Daher bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass dort wohl nicht die Ursache meiner Probleme liegt.
Im Prinzip kann ich das aber recht schnell an die Standards anpassen.
Wie gesagt, die beiden per USB installierten Linbos werden vom WebUI „grün“ angezeigt und lassen sich natürlich auch anpingen.
Der linbo-remote Aufruf schlägt aber mit der Meldung fehl „kein PXE Host“
